Presto 03510 Ceramic FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker
The single most notable feature about the Presto 03510 is the flip design. Obviously you can tell just by looking at it. While this particular model is not an actual professional waffle maker, it does mimic one very well… except for the price tag.
Our experience of using the Presto 03510 was a pleasant one. The waffles the Presto made were perfect in consistency, depth and deliciousness! Tough job I know, but someone has to be the taste tester! When we got our 03510 we noticed the left cooking grid wasn’t quite as sealed tight.
This model has particularly deep pockets so your waffles will be very thick. Also keep in mind the Presto 03510 cooks at 1350W while other models cook at 1200W. This is nice as there is no “browning” time to give that wonderful waffle look but the higher temperature browns it just right.
The countdown timer is nice and the timer beep noise is essential when multitasking in the kitchen… ie cooking eggs and bacon to go with your delicious waffles. The Presto 03510 also locks vertically which is perfect for storage.
Presto 03510 Features
- Non-stick grilling surface
- Countdown LCD timer with audio alarm
- Vertical storage setting
- 1350W of power
- Flips 180 degrees to evenly spread batter for cooking
- Extra thick grid in 7″ diameter sectioned into 4 quadrants
Presto 03510 Pros and Cons
Pros: The 180 degree flip is absolutely wonderful. You get professional style waffles without the professional style price of a Waring Pro. Cooks waffles in only about 3 minutes to a perfect brown that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Cons: No drip tray and ultimately you get what you pay for when comes to quality. Some users have complained about quality but not in a large amount.

Buying Guide for Waffle Irons
Think of waking up to the smell of freshly-made waffles and biting into its fluffy interior with its crispy brown crust… isn’t that enough to make you get up and buy your own waffle maker so you won’t have to just imagine it anymore? Yes, indeed!
But hold your horses just yet. Before you charge to the store and purchase the product that would be your key to waffle heaven, it’s best to know more about the waffle iron so you will be guided in choosing the kind to buy.
a. Belgian Waffle Maker – As the name implies, this waffle maker enables you to make those famous thick, tasty Belgian waffles sold in restaurants topped with whipped cream or berries. With extra deep pockets and four wells, you can easily whip up a full plate of waffles in no time.
b. Belgian Flip Maker – With 4 squares and even deeper wells than the regular Belgian Waffle Maker, the Belgian Flip sits on a stand that enables you to turn it as it cooks; hence, making the waffles extra fluffy.
c. Quick Maker – If you are making waffles for a small group of people, this express maker is perfect as it allows you to make one round regular sized waffle at a time.
d. Pizzelles – Used by a lot of bakers to make cream-filled cookie cones, these pizzelle cookie makers are even tasty enough to eat alone.
e. Stove Top – This is good for people who don’t want to have another appliance added to their counters. It;s much like the standard maker with the heat coming from the top of a stove burner.
f. Waffle Cones in Minutes – Allows you to make fresh waffle cones that are delicious when filled with your favorite ice cream.
This is an important factor to consider because the size of a waffle maker dictates the size of the waffles it creates. Most models have single waffle grills but there are some that can accommodate two at a time. Generally, the bigger the waffle maker grill, the bigger the waffles made but then again, there are models that are big but actually produce numerous smaller size waffles at a time. It’s up to you to decide which size you opt for but remember to take into consideration the available space you have in your kitchen counter for the said appliance.
By shape, we mean the shape of the waffle your choice of waffle maker will be producing and the design of its grids. Some types have deeper grids, like the ones used to make Belgian Waffles, and there are some with shorter grids used for flatter, thinner waffles. The usual shape of waffle maker grids are round and square but now, there are models with unique designs featuring triangles and hearts.
4. Grill Surface Material
It’s best to go for a model with a non-stick grill surface so you won’t have a hard time removing the waffle after you’re done. Cleaning will also be easier because the batter will not stick to the grill surface. Remember though that it’s still a helpful and wise practice to grease your grill with a little butter or oil before using.
5. Indicator Lights and Thermostat
An internal thermostat and a signal light that informs you that the grill is all set to cook and batter is an important feature because the cooking temperature will dictate the outcome of the waffle.
